维达德俱乐部主席蒙纳（Aït-Menna）与媒体对话时谈到了C罗的话题，他说：“C罗是不会为了钱来我们这里的，他不需要钱，我不知道那些谣言是怎么传播出来的。
“但是在大约三、四个月前，我确实联系了C罗的一位经纪人朋友，我问他：‘C罗想参加世俱杯吗？’他回答说：‘你听着，他不想。”
